THEATER DEPT PAID POSITIONS
FALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN EARLY AUG 2022:
- Attach an availability schedule with the application
- Applicants should have some prior experience in technical theatre -OR- be motivated to learn quickly
- Applicants must be able to follow instructions, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Some tasks may require the student to lift 40 lbs or work from ladders or elevated heights
The Scene Shop Staff will assist the Shop Manager and the Technical Director to train students in safety, tool use, construction techniques, painting techniques, and other duties related to stagecraft and scenery work. Scene Shop Staff may also work in the lighting and sound booth and assist in that area for various productions. Preference is given to students that have taken THTR 160: Stagecraft or worked in the shop previously.
The Light & Sound Tech will supervise students and assist the Technical Director to train students in hanging and focusing lights, setting up sound and audio for various productions and department needs.
